In 1982, John Nelson wrote and published his book Grandfather's Biggin Hill which proved to be very popular and with John's permission is featured on this website. It has been out of print for many years but, following an approach to John by the library service of the London Borough of Bromley, an agreement has been reached for them to publish a Second Edition of the book as No.6 in their series of Bromley Local Histories.

Although revised and updated to take account of many of the changes that have taken place in Biggin Hill over the past twenty-eight years, the text and 150 photographs remain largely the same as in the original edition.

The book is now available from Biggin Hill Library for only £8.
