"The Ramblers", Melrose Road. This house, at the start of Melrose Road, was built by a Mr. Cole. A glass verandah had been added to the front of this house since the photograph in 'Melrose Road 3'. A distinctive Biggin Hill character on the right of the group is "Champagne Charlie" Elbourne, whose home was a short way down Arthur Road. The house has gone through some extensive modernisation but it can still be recognised.
